Because everything should starts somewhere, this is my first blogpost regarding sewing !
So, long story short, I am in Seychelles for 1 year, I am going to get married with my beloved one at the end of the month, and we are waiting our first child for July ! I brought a Janome sew mini with me, since I’ve always wanted to sew for the baby. It’s not a super powerful sewing machine, but I really want to make some full projects out of it. Some of my older projects are on burdastyle (>>>my profile<<<).
For the wedding I wanted to make a little something to thank the few people that are coming, so I made these little candy bags (in France we use to offer “dragées”, but since I have no idea where to find that here, I decided to replace it by candies, much more easier to find 
). I chose the fabrics and the little ruban the other day in Victoria (Jivan Imports for the fabrics, and the ruban is coming from Deepan).
I first drafted a “pattern” and then cut all the pieces.
And that’s the result :
I sewed a dozen of these.
One thing left : print the stickers that will be with the bags.
My next project for the wedding is the wedding dress, but since I am really not good at measuring I still have to make adjustments for the top. But this will be my next post !
